Solar street lighting – improving safety in the town of Kostrzyn
In the town of Kostrzyn, an investment was carried out involving the supply and installation of solar LED street lighting, the main objective of which was to improve the safety of residents and users of public spaces after dark.
As part of the project, 20 W solar LED street lamps were used, model SLU-20W/270W/5m-EKO. This solution was designed for autonomous, maintenance-free operation without the need for connection to the power grid.
The LED luminaire was installed at a height of 5 m, allowing for effective and uniform illumination of the roadway, pedestrian routes, and road shoulders. Properly selected luminous flux improves visibility of the surroundings and increases comfort of movement during evening and night hours.
The lamps were mounted on octagonal steel poles, characterized by high stability, resistance to weather conditions, and an aesthetic appearance suited to the local infrastructure.
The use of solar LED lighting enabled the investment to be implemented in an ecological and energy-efficient manner, while reducing operating costs. Autonomous solar power supply ensures continuous lighting operation even in locations distant from existing technical infrastructure.
The implemented lighting significantly improves the level of safety in the town of Kostrzyn, enhances visibility in public spaces, and constitutes a modern infrastructure element aligned with the principles of sustainable development.
