Lighting of the School Grounds and Sports-Recreational Area – Ciepielów
In the locality of Ciepielów, an investment project was carried out consisting of the supply and installation of hybrid LED street lights with a power rating of 30 W within the school sports and recreational complex, including, among others, a skate park and a pump track. The objective of the project was to provide safe, functional and environmentally friendly lighting for a space intensively used by children, youth, and residents after dark.
The applied modern hybrid luminaires effectively illuminate pedestrian routes, riding zones for bicycles, skateboards, and scooters, as well as the surroundings of the school infrastructure. The neutral light colour temperature of 4000 K improves contrast and obstacle visibility, which significantly reduces the risk of accidents during sports activities.
The street lights are equipped with photovoltaic panels with a total capacity of 890 W, manufactured using Bifacial Half-Cut technology, which increases energy yield also through reflected light from the ground surface. As a result, the system operates independently of the power grid, which is of particular importance in school and recreational areas.
Advantages of using hybrid lighting at the skate park and pump track:
- increased safety for students and users of sports facilities,
- the possibility of using the infrastructure also after dark,
- no electricity costs and low maintenance costs,
- resistance to changing weather conditions,
- a modern appearance and improved aesthetics of the school area.
The system provides a minimum of 10 hours of operation per day and up to 60 hours of autonomy in the case of several consecutive cloudy, rainy, and windless days. This allows uninterrupted operation of the lighting during afternoon and evening activities.
Additionally, a 5-level operating mode was applied, allowing intelligent regulation of light intensity depending on the time of day and the intensity of facility use. This solution increases energy efficiency and extends the service life of the LED luminaires.
The steel poles were manufactured in accordance with the EN 1090 standard and adapted to Wind Zone I, which guarantees structural stability and user safety. The applied Polish-manufactured LED luminaires have ENEC certificates, confirming high quality, durability, and compliance with European standards.
The implementation in Ciepielów constitutes an example of modern lighting for school sports infrastructure, which supports physical activity, enhances safety levels, and aligns with the idea of sustainable development and the use of renewable energy sources.
