Improving Pedestrian Crossing Safety – Górka (Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship)

In the town of Górka, located in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, an investment project was implemented with the aim of improving pedestrian safety through the use of modern, autonomous pedestrian crossing lighting.

The project included the supply and installation of 30 W hybrid LED street lights, dedicated to illuminating pedestrian crossing zones in traffic areas with an increased risk of road incidents.

The HLU-30W/400W/300W/6m-EKO model was applied, combining solar and wind energy, ensuring stable and independent operation without the need for connection to the power grid.

The LED luminaires were installed at a height of 6 meters, allowing for uniform illumination of the crossing lanes and pedestrian waiting areas. The neutral light color improves pedestrian contrast against the roadway, increasing visibility for drivers.

The use of hybrid street lights:

• improves pedestrian safety after dark,
• reduces driver reaction time when approaching crossings,
• ensures continuous operation even with limited sunlight,
• eliminates the cost of constructing power connections,
• supports environmentally friendly and energy-efficient investments.

The completed investment in Górka represents a modern and effective solution for improving pedestrian crossing safety, adapted to local conditions and current road infrastructure standards.
