Hybrid Lighting of a Sports Complex – Pcin, Ciepielów Municipality

In the village of Pcin, within the Ciepielów municipality, the delivery and installation of 30 W hybrid LED street lights intended for illuminating a sports complex was completed. The investment significantly improves user safety after dark and enables comfortable use of sports and recreational infrastructure during evening hours.

The installed hybrid street lights HLU-30W/400W/890W/6m are equipped with LED luminaires with a light color temperature of 4000 K and a luminous flux of 6187 lm. Luminaires mounted at a height of 6 meters provide uniform illumination of sports fields, pedestrian routes, and recreational areas without glare for players and spectators.

The power supply system is based on photovoltaic panels with a total power of 890 W, manufactured using Bifacial Half-Cut technology. Bifacial panels generate energy from both direct solar radiation and light reflected from the ground, increasing system efficiency and ensuring stable lighting operation under variable weather conditions.

The system is supplemented by a 400 W wind turbine, equipped with carbon fiber blades. The use of this material ensures high strength, low weight, and quiet, smooth operation, which is particularly important near sports facilities and residential buildings. The turbine effectively supports energy production during periods of limited sunlight, increasing system independence.

Energy is stored in LiFePO4 batteries, characterized by very long service life, high resistance to low temperatures, and stable operating parameters. LiFePO4 technology ensures safe operation, no memory effect, and reliable system performance even in winter conditions, which is essential for sports infrastructure.

The steel pole structures were manufactured in accordance with EN 1090 and adapted for operation in wind zone I according to PN-EN 1991-1-4. The applied Polish-made LED luminaires, holding ENEC certifications, guarantee high light quality, durability, and failure-free operation for many years.

The system provides a minimum of 10 hours of daily operation at full power, and the energy storage capacity allows for up to 60 hours of autonomous operation in the event of several consecutive cloudy and windless days. As a result, the sports complex remains safe and fully functional regardless of weather conditions.
