Hybrid lighting of tourist service areas – Mirów Municipality

In the Mirów Municipality, as part of a project implemented by the Iłżanka River Municipal Association, modern hybrid LED lamps were applied for lighting tourist service areas. This solution significantly improves the safety of public space users after dark and increases comfort when using tourist infrastructure.

Hybrid LED street lights, model HLU-30W/400W/890W/6m, were installed, emitting neutral light with a color temperature of 4000 K and a luminous flux of 6187 lm. The LED luminaires were mounted at a height of 6 meters, allowing uniform illumination of pedestrian routes, rest areas, and recreational zones.

The power supply system is based on bifacial photovoltaic panels with a total power of 890 W. Bifacial technology enables energy generation from both direct solar radiation and light reflected from the ground, increasing energy yield especially during autumn and winter periods and in locations with variable sunlight conditions.

The installation is complemented by a 400 W wind turbine with blades made of carbon fiber. The applied material ensures high strength, low weight, and quiet operation, which is particularly important in tourist areas. Additionally, the turbine is equipped with a blue LED indicator signaling operation at height, improving safety and facilitating system monitoring.

The street lights operate fully autonomously – up to 12 hours per day at full power, and the battery capacity provides a minimum of 60 hours of operation without sunlight, even during several consecutive cloudy and windless days. Additionally, 5 periodic operating modes can be configured with adjustable LED light intensity, allowing the lighting to be adapted to actual user needs.

The pole structure, made of S235 steel in accordance with the PN-EN 1090 standard, is designed for Wind Zone I according to PN-EN 1991-1-4. The applied Polish-made LED luminaires meet stringent quality requirements and hold ENEC certifications, guaranteeing durability, safety, and high lighting quality.

The implementation in the Mirów Municipality is an example of a modern and ecological approach to lighting tourist areas, combining energy efficiency, energy independence, and high aesthetic quality of public spaces.
