Hybrid LED lighting of the primary school area – Kowalków

In the village of Kowalków, within the Kazanów municipality, the delivery and installation of hybrid LED street lamps with a power of 30 W were carried out to comprehensively illuminate the area surrounding the primary school. The aim of the project was to increase the safety of students, school staff, and residents using the infrastructure after dark.

Modern hybrid lighting poles HLU-30W/400W/890W/6m were installed, emitting neutral light with a colour temperature of 4000 K and a luminous flux of 6187 lm. The LED luminaires were mounted at a height of 6 metres, ensuring uniform illumination of pedestrian routes, building entrances, sports fields, and the entire school surroundings.

The lamps are equipped with photovoltaic panels with a total power of 890 W using Bifacial Half-Cut technology, enabling energy generation from both direct and reflected solar radiation. This solution increases system efficiency and operational stability during periods of limited sunlight.

The installation is complemented by a 400 W wind turbine with blades made of carbon fibre. The applied material ensures quiet operation, high resistance to changing weather conditions, and effective performance even during stronger wind gusts. As a result, the lighting system remains fully functional also in winter conditions.

The pole structures are made of S235 steel, in accordance with the EN 1090 construction standard, and designed for operation in Wind Zone I pursuant to PN-EN 1991-1-4. The entire system constitutes a durable and safe solution, resistant to long-term operation.

The lighting system provides a minimum of 10 hours of operation per day at full power and up to 60 hours of autonomy without access to sunlight, which is crucial for student safety during the autumn and winter period. The applied Polish-made LED luminaires with ENEC certification guarantee high light quality, reliability, and compliance with strict standards.

The project significantly improves the comfort of using the school area, enhances the sense of safety after dark, and represents an example of a modern, ecological approach to educational infrastructure lighting.
