Safe pedestrian crossing – Mirzec II

In the village of Mirzec II, a project was completed involving the designation and illumination of a pedestrian crossing at the intersection of municipal road No. 347007T with provincial road No. 744. The investment was implemented to improve crossing visibility and enhance the safety of pedestrians using the road infrastructure.

As part of the project, the supply and installation of hybrid LED street lanterns with a power rating of 38 W were carried out. The luminaires were specifically designed for pedestrian crossing lighting and provide uniform and intensive illumination of the crossing zone, particularly during nighttime and under reduced visibility conditions.

The lanterns were integrated with an active pedestrian crossing sign, which activates a light warning signal when a pedestrian is detected approaching the crossing. This solution effectively draws drivers’ attention and increases reaction time before entering the crossing area.

The vertical signage was complemented by thick-layer horizontal road markings, including a high-contrast pedestrian crossing in a white-red color scheme, significantly improving visibility and durability of the marking.

The implemented solutions form a functional and coherent system enhancing road traffic safety, adapted to local conditions and compliant with current traffic organization standards.
