Illumination of Pedestrian Crossings and Hazardous Areas – Jabłonowo Pomorskie

In the town of Jabłonowo Pomorskie, in the vicinity of the DINO store, an investment was implemented involving the reconstruction of a road combined with illumination of pedestrian crossings and particularly hazardous areas. The location, characterized by high pedestrian and vehicular traffic, required the use of reliable and highly visible lighting solutions.

As part of the project, 40 W hybrid LED street lanterns, model HLU-40W/400W/400W/6 m, were installed. The hybrid system, combining solar and wind energy, ensures continuous and autonomous lighting operation, regardless of weather conditions and without the need to connect to the power grid.

The lanterns were installed on round, tapered steel poles made of S355 steel. Each pole, weighing approximately 280 kg, was mounted on a prefabricated F200 V43 foundation weighing 520 kg, ensuring high structural stability and resistance to dynamic loads and road conditions.

The hybrid pole structure was manufactured in accordance with the PN-EN 1090 standard. The pole, together with the photovoltaic panel structure and the wind turbine boom, was designed for operation in Wind Zone I according to PN-EN 1991-1-4, ensuring safe use within the road right-of-way.

The applied photovoltaic panel frame, together with the LED luminaire boom, allows 360° rotation around the pole axis. This solution enables optimal panel orientation relative to sunlight and precise direction of the light beam directly onto pedestrian crossings and critical road sections.

The hybrid lighting in the vicinity of the DINO store:

• significantly improves visibility of pedestrians and road users,
• increases safety in areas with high traffic intensity,
• eliminates the need to expand power infrastructure,
• reduces operating costs through the use of renewable energy sources.

The completed investment represents a modern and durable solution for illuminating pedestrian crossings and hazardous areas, perfectly adapted to local road conditions and the needs of residents of Jabłonowo Pomorskie.
