Hybrid Rural Road Lighting – Baranów Municipality (Greater Poland)

In the area of the :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0} municipality, an investment project was implemented involving rural road lighting using modern and energy-efficient technologies based on renewable energy sources. The objective of the project was to improve residents’ safety and increase comfort of road use after dark.

As part of the implementation, a 40 W hybrid LED street light, model HLU-40W/400W/400W/6m-EKO, was installed. This solution combines power supply from photovoltaic panels and a wind turbine, ensuring stable and autonomous operation without the need for connection to the power grid.

The LED luminaire was mounted at a height of 6 m, providing uniform illumination of the roadway and road shoulders, which is particularly important on rural roads with limited technical infrastructure. The neutral light color improves visibility of obstacles, pedestrians, and other road users.

The use of a hybrid street light at this location:

• improves road traffic safety after dark,
• enables road lighting without access to the power grid,
• reduces operating and maintenance costs,
• ensures reliable operation even during periods of low sunlight,
• supports the municipality’s sustainable development policy.
