Hybrid Street Lighting in a Mountain Zone – Zakopane (Klusie, Janosówka, Choćkowskie Streets)

In Zakopane, on Klusie, Janosówka, and Choćkowskie Streets, an investment project was completed aimed at improving road traffic safety through the construction of hybrid LED street lights, adapted to the demanding conditions of mountainous areas and strong halny winds.

40 W hybrid street lights, model HLU-40W/400W/400W/6m, were installed, designed for operation in Wind Zone III – mountainous. The LED luminaires were mounted at a height of 6.5 m, ensuring uniform and effective illumination of the roadway and pedestrian space.

The structures were made of high-quality S355 structural steel and provided with PN-EN 1090 certification, permitting the poles to operate in the structural Wind Zone III. Combined with massive F1 foundations weighing 1,480 kg, this guarantees stability and safety even under very strong wind gusts.

The street lights are equipped with 400 W wind turbines featuring blades made of carbon fiber. This solution ensures high mechanical resistance, low weight, and efficient operation of the hybrid system under variable weather conditions typical of mountainous regions.

The applied solution represents a premium-quality segment, designed and manufactured in accordance with European standards. In contrast to low-quality imported poles not adapted for mountain zones, the installed infrastructure guarantees long service life, user safety, and operational reliability.

The Zakopane project is an example of a modern, durable, and extreme-weather-resistant lighting system dedicated to road infrastructure in mountainous areas.
