Hybrid Lighting of a Municipal Park and Skatepark – Barcin
In the town of Barcin, an investment project was completed involving the lighting of a newly developed municipal park and skatepark using modern, autonomous solutions based on renewable energy sources. The objective of the project was to increase user safety in the recreational area and ensure comfortable use of the facility after dark.
As part of the implementation, hybrid LED street lights with a power of 50 W, model HLU-50W/530W/400W/6m-EKO, were used. The LED luminaires were installed at a height of 6 m, enabling uniform and effective illumination of park pathways, recreational zones, and the skatepark area.
The streetlights were mounted on steel poles made of S235 steel, protected against corrosion by hot-dip galvanizing and additionally powder-coated in anthracite color RAL 7016. This finish ensures high durability of the structure and aesthetic integration with modern public space architecture.
An element of the hybrid system is a wind turbine with a power of 400 W, equipped with carbon fiber blades. The applied technology guarantees quiet and stable operation, which is particularly important in recreational areas where acoustic comfort is essential.
The lighting system provides full operational autonomy for a minimum of 55 hours under winter conditions, even with a complete lack of sunlight. As a result, the park and skatepark remain safe and functional regardless of weather conditions and without the need for connection to the power grid.
The implemented hybrid lighting constitutes an energy-efficient, ecological, and maintenance-free solution, ideally suited to recreational spaces, enhancing safety standards and the aesthetics of the new municipal park and skatepark in Barcin.
