Hybrid lighting of pedestrian crossings – Sulisławice, Łoniów Municipality
As part of the reconstruction of municipal roads in the village of Sulisławice, located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, modern hybrid LED street lamps with a power rating of 38 W were implemented, designed to improve safety at pedestrian crossings and in their immediate surroundings.
Hybrid streetlights HLU-38W/400W/400W/6m with a light color temperature of 4000 K and a luminous flux of 6100 lm were installed. The LED luminaires were mounted at a height of 6 meters, ensuring effective and uniform illumination of the pedestrian crossing area.
The streetlights are equipped with dedicated asymmetric LED luminaires, specifically designed for pedestrian crossing lighting. The light distribution eliminates driver glare while concentrating the luminous flux precisely on the crossing, making pedestrians clearly visible from a greater distance.
The system is complemented by an active D-6 “SIGN FLASH” sign, which is automatically activated when a pedestrian is detected. Dynamic light signaling effectively attracts drivers’ attention and increases alertness in the crossing area.
The pole structures are made of S235 steel, in accordance with PN-EN 1090, and designed for operation in Wind Zone I. This ensures adequate strength, stability, and safe operation of the road infrastructure.
The hybrid system enables a minimum of 10 hours of daily operation at full power, while the battery capacity allows for approximately 40 hours of autonomous operation under overcast, rainy, and windless conditions. Additionally, a 5-level operating mode can be configured, allowing light intensity adjustment during nighttime hours.
The applied 400 W wind turbine with blades made of carbon fiber increases the system’s energy independence, providing battery charging also during periods of limited solar irradiation.
The implementation in Sulisławice represents a modern infrastructure solution compliant with current regulations, meeting the requirements of WR-D-41-4, which effectively enhances pedestrian safety and improves comfort for municipal road users.
