Active Hybrid D-6 Sign Installed Above the Carriageway – Wola Zarczycka, Leżajsk County
In the village of Wola Zarczycka, located within Leżajsk County, an investment project was implemented aimed at improving the safety of a pedestrian crossing as part of the reconstruction of County Road No. 1240R. The objective of the project was to increase the visibility of the crossing and provide earlier warning to drivers about an area with increased pedestrian traffic.
As part of the project, the construction of an active, hybrid D-6 road sign installed above the road carriageway was carried out. A pylon-type structure was applied, with an outreach arm of 6 metres in length, ensuring excellent sign exposure above the roadway and high legibility from a long distance.
The D-6 sign is equipped with an active warning system that dynamically attracts drivers’ attention, particularly under conditions of reduced visibility and during nighttime hours. The hybrid power supply system ensures independent and reliable operation without the need for a permanent connection to the power grid.
The installation of the sign above the carriageway significantly reduces driver reaction time and improves pedestrian safety, serving as an effective enhancement of road infrastructure along the modernized section of the county road.
The applied solution represents a modern approach to road traffic organization and safety, having a tangible impact on improving the safety of road users in the village of Wola Zarczycka.
