In the town of Bodzanów, an investment project aimed at improving road traffic safety was implemented, involving the construction of a modern, active hybrid D-6 traffic sign installed above the roadway.

A pylon-type structure with an outreach arm of up to 6 meters was used, ensuring excellent visibility of the signage from a long distance, regardless of the traffic lane.

The D-6 sign is equipped with double-sided LED flashers with a diameter of 300 mm, operating in a 24/7 mode. The flashing warning lights effectively attract drivers’ attention both during daytime and after dark, as well as in adverse weather conditions.

Additionally, the sign features internal LED backlighting of the D-6 sign face, which significantly improves legibility at night and increases contrast against the road surroundings.

Dedicated LED luminaires were installed beneath the pylon structure, providing direct illumination of the pedestrian crossing area. The lighting is precisely directed onto the crossing markings, without dazzling drivers approaching from either direction.

The applied solution:

• enhances pedestrian visibility even before entering the roadway,
• reduces the risk of pedestrian accidents after dark,
• operates independently of the power grid thanks to hybrid power supply,
• raises the overall safety standard at a critical road location.
