LST2 Solar Bench – Ecological Education in Sieradz

In the town of Sieradz, an investment project was implemented as part of the “Ecological Education of the Residents of Sieradz 2018” program, co-financed by the WFOŚiGW in Łódź. The project included the supply and installation of a modern solar bench, promoting renewable energy sources and pro-environmental attitudes in public spaces.

The LST2 solar bench was installed, designed as a functional element of urban street furniture combining user comfort with ecological education. The bench is equipped with a canopy integrated with a photovoltaic panel, which powers all built-in electrical devices.

The bench is equipped with:

• LED lighting activated by a motion sensor, enhancing safety and visibility after dark,
• 6 USB ports for charging mobile phones and devices,
• 2 wireless charging pads enabling inductive smartphone charging,
• autonomous solar power supply that does not require connection to the power grid.

The seat and backrest are made of natural oak wood, which has been impregnated with outdoor-grade protective agents. This ensures high durability, resistance to weather conditions, and an aesthetic appearance for many years of use.

The completed investment serves not only a recreational function but also an educational purpose, demonstrating in practice the possibilities of using solar energy in urban spaces. The LST2 solar bench in Sieradz is an example of a modern, eco-friendly solution supporting sustainable development and enhancing the attractiveness of public spaces.
