Active and solar-powered pedestrian crossings – Wyszogród
In the town of Wyszogród, located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within Płock County, an investment project was implemented involving the reconstruction of pedestrian crossings using modern, solar-powered road traffic safety devices.
As part of the project, solar-powered active D-6 signs in the form of pylons were installed above the roadway, significantly increasing the visibility of pedestrian crossings and effectively warning drivers of the presence of pedestrians near the carriageway.
The vertical signage was supplemented by additional illumination of pedestrian crossings using 38W solar LED street luminaires. The installed model was SLU-38W/400W/5m – EKO, equipped with asymmetrical LED luminaires, dedicated specifically to pedestrian crossing illumination.
The applied luminaires provide precise directional distribution of the light flux exclusively onto the crossing area, without causing glare to drivers. The luminaires hold ZETOM certifications and are covered by a 5-year warranty, confirming their high quality and operational reliability.
Additionally, in front of the pedestrian crossings, flashing solar-powered active B-33 signs with speed limit indication were installed, serving a preventive function and effectively contributing to the reduction of vehicle speeds in the crossing areas.
The implemented solutions form a coherent, active road safety enhancement system, which significantly increases pedestrian protection and improves the clarity of road infrastructure within the town of Wyszogród.
