Solar Power Supply System for Water Distribution Network Data Loggers – Międzyrzec Podlaski
In the city of Międzyrzec Podlaski, located in the Lublin Voivodeship, an investment project was completed involving the delivery and commissioning of a solar power supply system designed to operate with water distribution network parameter data loggers, including a data transmission system.
The implemented solar system provides stable, continuous power supply (24 hours per day) with a maximum power consumption of up to 15 W, allowing uninterrupted operation of devices monitoring the water supply infrastructure.
The system was designed with a constant 24 V DC output, dedicated to the direct power supply of data loggers and communication modules, without the need for additional power converters.
The system is equipped with an energy storage unit, ensuring a minimum of 4 days of autonomous operation for loads with a power consumption of 15 W under conditions of no solar irradiation, guaranteeing high system reliability even in adverse weather conditions.
The use of a solar power source enabled the operation of the measurement infrastructure without the need to connect to the power grid, reducing operating costs and increasing the energy independence of the water distribution system.
The implemented solution constitutes a modern and environmentally friendly element of technical infrastructure, supporting continuous monitoring of the water supply network within the city of Międzyrzec Podlaski.
