Renewable Energy Solutions at Żabka Eko Smart – Łódź, Okrzei Street

In Łódź, at 38 Stefana Okrzei Street, the second Żabka Eko Smart store in Poland was launched, representing a modern retail concept based on ecological solutions and smart technologies. The first store of this type was opened by the chain in September in Poznań.

As part of the implementation, a sSEC19 solar urban bench was installed at the facility, enabling customers to charge mobile devices during their visit. The bench is powered by renewable energy generated by photovoltaic panels and serves as a functional element of urban street furniture.

In addition, a 1 kW wind turbine operating in an OFF-GRID system was installed. This solution is used to supply power to selected electrical devices within the store, increasing the facility’s energy independence and the share of renewable energy sources in its operation.

Żabka Eko Smart stores serve as a kind of laboratory for ecological innovations, where smart solutions optimizing franchisee operations are tested. The implemented technologies, including systems based on artificial intelligence, support store management and enable more efficient use of time and resources.

The installed bench belongs to the Smart Eko City series – modern, eco-friendly solar benches combining aesthetics with functionality. Standard equipment includes photovoltaic panels, USB charging ports, and wireless charging capability. The benches can also be additionally equipped with, among others, a 4G Wi-Fi router, Wi-Fi hotspot, LED lighting, or bicycle racks.

The combination of renewable energy sources, modern design, and multifunctionality makes the Smart Eko City solutions a perfect fit for the concept of smart cities and modern commercial spaces.
