Solar Lighting of a Residential Road – Zawadzkiego Street, Szczecin

In Szczecin, an investment project was implemented involving the lighting of a residential road on Zawadzkiego Street using modern, autonomous solar solutions. The objective of the project was to improve residents’ safety and increase comfort of movement after dark within the residential area.

As part of the project, the supply and installation of solar LED streetlights were carried out. The streetlights were powder-coated in RAL 7024 (gloss finish), allowing for an aesthetic integration of the lighting infrastructure with the character of the urban development. The applied model was SLU-2x20W/400W/6m, equipped with two LED luminaires.

The LED luminaires were installed at a height of 6 metres, ensuring uniform illumination of the roadway and adjacent pedestrian and traffic areas. The pole structures were manufactured in accordance with the PN-EN 1090 standard, guaranteeing durability and operational safety.

The lighting system enables operation for approximately 11 hours per day at full power. The applied energy storage systems provide a minimum of 44 hours of autonomy, which corresponds to 4 consecutive cloudy and rainy days without access to solar radiation.

The streetlights are equipped with a 5-level operating mode programming function, allowing percentage-based adjustment of luminous flux intensity during night-time hours. This solution enables optimization of energy consumption and adaptation of lighting levels to the actual needs of the residential area.

The implemented solution constitutes an energy-efficient and maintenance-free form of road lighting, effectively enhancing safety levels and the visual quality of the residential space in Szczecin.
