Solar Lighting of Bus Stops and Pedestrian Crossings – Bolesławiec
In the town of Bolesławiec, an investment project was implemented aimed at improving road traffic safety through the installation of modern, autonomous lighting for bus stops and pedestrian crossings along Road No. 297.
The scope of the project covered the section from the intersection of Kościuszki Street and Góralska Street to the turn leading to the social housing estate (side road). This area is characterized by increased pedestrian traffic, including users of public transport.
As part of the implementation, 30W solar LED street lights were used, model SLU-30W/400W/5m – EKO. The lights operate fully autonomously, using renewable energy, without the need to connect to the power grid.
The LED luminaires were installed at a height of 5 meters, ensuring effective and uniform illumination of:
- waiting areas at bus stops,
- pedestrian crossings,
- sidewalks and road shoulders of the voivodeship road.
The use of solar lighting in this location:
- significantly improves pedestrian visibility after dark,
- enhances the safety of public transport passengers,
- reduces the risk of road accidents,
- ensures continuous operation even in areas without energy infrastructure,
- fits into the concept of ecological and energy-efficient urban investments.
The completed solar lighting of bus stops and pedestrian crossings in Bolesławiec is a functional, durable, and environmentally friendly solution that effectively increases the safety of residents.
