Solar Playground Lighting – Milejów

In the village of Milejów, an investment was carried out involving the lighting of a playground using modern solar LED street lights. The aim of the project was to increase the safety of children and guardians and to improve comfort when using the playground in the afternoon and evening hours.

Solar LED lanterns with a power of 38 W, model SLU-38W/400W/6m, were installed with the luminaire mounted at a height of 6 m. The luminaires emit light with a luminous flux of 6100 lm, ensuring even illumination of the entire recreational area without dark spots or harsh contrasts.

The neutral LED light color provides good visibility of playground equipment, surfaces, and recreational devices, which is particularly important for children’s safety and effective supervision by adults. The lighting also improves the users’ sense of security and reduces the risk of undesirable incidents after dark.

The solar power system ensures full autonomous operation. The lamps operate for up to 11 hours per day at full power, and the battery capacity allows for a minimum of 44 hours of operation without solar energy, corresponding to four consecutive cloudy and rainy days. This ensures reliable playground lighting regardless of weather conditions.

The applied LED luminaires feature high mechanical resistance IK09 and hold a ZETOM certificate, confirming their durability and suitability for use in public spaces exposed to intensive use.

The lanterns are mounted on steel poles made of S235 steel, manufactured in accordance with EN 1090. The pole structure, together with photovoltaic panel mounts, is designed for operation in wind zone I in compliance with PN-EN 1991-1-4. The poles are powder-coated in RAL 9011, ensuring an aesthetic appearance and corrosion resistance.

Each lantern is installed on a prefabricated F160 V43 foundation weighing 400 kg, which guarantees structural stability and safe operation within the recreational area.

The solar playground lighting implemented in Milejów is a modern, ecological, and safe solution that enhances the functionality of the recreational area, extends its usability time, and improves the comfort and safety of its youngest users.
