Solar Lighting of the Market Square – Moryń (West Pomeranian Voivodeship)
In the town of :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}, located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, an investment project was implemented aimed at improving safety and functionality of the new market square through the construction of modern solar street lighting.
Solar LED street luminaires with a power output of 38 W and a luminous flux of 6,100 lm were installed, model SLU-38W/400W/5m. The LED luminaires were mounted at a height of 5 metres, providing uniform and effective illumination of the entire market area.
The luminaires were installed on steel poles made of S355 structural steel, holding an EN 1090 certificate, which guarantees high structural strength and safe operation in public spaces. Each pole was mounted on a prefabricated foundation F200 V43, ensuring stability even under heavy traffic and load conditions.
The use of solar lighting at the market square provides a number of significant benefits:
- increased safety for vendors and customers through proper illumination of pedestrian routes and trading areas,
- improved visibility after dark and in early morning hours, when the market square is intensively used,
- reduced risk of theft and vandalism thanks to constant and uniform lighting,
- no electricity costs and no need to expand grid infrastructure,
- environmentally friendly character of the investment, based on the use of renewable energy sources.
The implemented solar LED street lighting constitutes a durable, cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution, perfectly suited to the specific requirements of market squares, where safety, reliability and low maintenance costs are essential.
