Reconstruction of Municipal Roads Using Renewable Energy – Łęczyca Municipality

Within the Łęczyca Municipality, an investment was carried out covering the reconstruction of municipal roads combined with the application of renewable energy sources in the form of modern solar LED street lighting. The scope of the project included the renovation of municipal road no. 104166E in Błonie – Parcele and road no. 312306 in Dąbie.

As part of the project, solar LED street lights with a power of 38 W were supplied and installed. The applied model was SLU-38W/400W/6m, designed for fully autonomous and maintenance-free operation within the road right-of-way, without the need for connection to the power grid.

The installed LED luminaires generate a luminous flux of 6100 lm, ensuring very good visibility of the roadway and shoulders, which directly contributes to improved road user safety. The luminaires feature high mechanical resistance IK10 and meet stringent quality standards, confirmed by a ZETOM certificate.

The lighting system enables operation for approximately 11 hours per day at full power. The applied energy storage systems provide a minimum of 44 hours of autonomy, corresponding to at least four consecutive cloudy and rainy days without access to solar radiation.

The solar lamps are equipped with a 5-step operating mode programming function, allowing percentage adjustment of the luminous flux during night hours. This solution enables energy consumption optimization and adaptation of lighting levels to local conditions and traffic intensity.

The steel pole structures were manufactured in accordance with the EN 1090 construction standard, ensuring durability, stability, and safe use in road infrastructure. The applied structural solutions provide resistance to weather conditions and long-term operation.

The completed investment is an example of an effective combination of road infrastructure modernization with the use of renewable energy sources. The project contributes to improved road safety, reduced operating costs, and increased energy independence within the Łęczyca Municipality.
