Pedestrian Crossing Lighting as Part of Road Reconstruction – Buczkowice

In the town of Buczkowice, a project was implemented involving the reconstruction of a county road together with the installation of modern pedestrian crossing lighting. The investment aimed to improve the safety of vulnerable road users and to increase the visibility of pedestrian crossings along a traffic route with high traffic intensity.

For the implementation, solar LED street lighting poles with a power rating of 38 W were used, designed for autonomous operation. The installed model SLU-38W/400W/5m – EKO combines energy efficiency with high effectiveness in illuminating the pedestrian crossing area.

The lighting poles are equipped with dedicated LED street luminaires, specifically designed for pedestrian crossing illumination. An asymmetric light distribution in left-hand or right-hand versions was applied, ensuring that only the crossing zone is illuminated, without causing glare to drivers.

This solution provides excellent visibility of pedestrian silhouettes and high contrast against the roadway surface, significantly reducing vehicle drivers’ reaction time.
