Sports Field Lighting in the Village Center – Solar LED Implementation

As part of the project aimed at the development of the village center in Łazany, an investment was completed involving the construction of a multi-functional sports field together with a modern and energy-efficient solar lighting system. The project was carried out within the Biskupice Municipality.

The sports field is illuminated using 80 W solar LED street lights, model SLU-80W/400W/7m, designed specifically for sports facilities and recreational areas. The LED luminaires were installed at a height of 7 meters, enabling uniform and effective illumination of the entire field surface.

The street lights were mounted on round, tapered steel poles made of S355 structural steel. The poles were protected by hot-dip galvanization, ensuring high corrosion resistance and long service life in outdoor conditions.

Each pole was installed on a type F200 V43 foundation with a weight exceeding 450 kg, providing structural stability and safe operation of the sports infrastructure.

The lighting system operates automatically – daily for 5 hours at full power after dusk. The solar system was designed to ensure a minimum of 4 days of autonomous operation, even under demanding winter conditions.

The use of solar lighting for the sports field allows for fully autonomous operation without connection to the power grid, reduces operating costs, and ensures availability of the sports facility during evening hours.

The project in Łazany represents a modern and environmentally friendly approach to sports and recreational infrastructure, combining safety, functionality, and energy efficiency.
