Road safety improvement – Boruja Kościelna

In the town of Boruja Kościelna, an investment project was implemented involving the reconstruction of a county road along with the deployment of modern, autonomous road safety solutions. The objective was to increase road visibility and protect vulnerable road users, especially after dark.

As part of the project, 25 W solar LED street lights were supplied and installed. The applied model was SLU-25W/300W/5m – EKO, designed for fully autonomous operation without the need for connection to the power grid.

The LED luminaires provide effective and uniform illumination of the roadway and road shoulders, improving visibility at night and in conditions of reduced air transparency. Installation at a height of 5 m ensures optimal light distribution while maintaining energy efficiency.

The lighting system was complemented by roadside solar active D-6 traffic signs, which serve as dynamic warnings for drivers approaching pedestrian crossings. Thanks to solar power supply, the signs operate continuously and independently, increasing driver awareness.

Active D-6 signs:

• increase the visibility of pedestrian crossings after dark,
• attract drivers’ attention at critical road sections,
• operate autonomously without electricity costs,
• significantly enhance road traffic safety.

The use of solar street lighting and solar active D-6 signs enabled effective safety improvement while reducing operating costs and minimizing interference with existing technical infrastructure.

The completed investment in Boruja Kościelna represents a modern, ecological, and functional approach to county road modernization, aligned with residents’ needs and current road safety standards.
