Active Solar D-6 Overhead Traffic Sign – Ryki

In the town of :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}, an investment project was implemented aimed at improving pedestrian crossing safety as part of the reconstruction of a municipal road, through the installation of an active, solar-powered D-6 traffic sign in the form of a pylon mounted above the roadway.

The D-6 sign was installed on a cantilever arm with a length of up to 6 metres, ensuring excellent visibility for drivers approaching from both directions and clear legibility of the signage from a long distance.

The warning elements consist of double-sided LED flashers with a diameter of 300 mm, which operate continuously, 24 hours a day. The constant operation of the flashers effectively attracts drivers’ attention and increases their alertness in the pedestrian crossing area.

Additionally, the face of the D-6 sign is internally illuminated using LED technology, which significantly improves its visibility after dark and in adverse weather conditions.

Under the pylon structure, dedicated LED luminaires for pedestrian crossing illumination were installed. The luminaires direct light precisely onto the crossing zone, ensuring good visibility of pedestrians without causing glare to drivers.

The implemented solution forms a comprehensive, active warning and lighting system, which effectively reduces the risk of road incidents and enhances the level of pedestrian safety at the crossing in the town of Ryki.
