Hybrid lighting of public space – Kowalków, Kazanów municipality

In the village of Kowalków, within the Kazanów municipality, a project was implemented involving the delivery and installation of hybrid LED street lamps in the area of the school, the Volunteer Fire Brigade, and the health centre. The investment was carried out to improve residents’ safety and increase the functionality of key public utility facilities.

Hybrid street lighting poles with a power of 30 W were installed, model HLU-30W/400W/890W/6m, equipped with modern LED luminaires with a light colour of 4000 K and a luminous flux of 6187 lm. The luminaires were mounted at a height of 6 metres, ensuring uniform illumination of the area and good visibility after dark.

The lighting poles are fitted with photovoltaic panels with a total power of 890 W, manufactured using Bifacial Half-Cut technology, enabling energy generation also from reflected radiation. This solution increases system efficiency and lighting stability under variable weather conditions.

The pole structures are made of S235 steel and comply with the EN 1090 construction standard. They are adapted for operation in Wind Zone I in accordance with PN-EN 1991-1-4, ensuring safety and durability in outdoor conditions.

The applied LED luminaires manufactured in Poland meet stringent quality standards and hold ENEC certification, resulting in high luminous efficacy, long service life, and reliable operation.

The lighting system was designed with energy efficiency in mind – the lamps operate for up to 10 hours per day at full power, and the battery capacity provides up to 60 hours of autonomous operation during several consecutive days without sunlight. Additionally, a five-level operating mode can be configured, allowing adjustment of light output during night-time hours.

The project in Kowalków is an example of modern and ecological public infrastructure lighting, combining safety, energy efficiency, and spatial aesthetics, while reducing operating costs.
